This year we attended the

Off Road Camper Trailer of the Year awards

with our new Topaz Series 2.

The Topaz was entered in the Hybrid category. Compared to the rest of the competition, the Topaz S2 was the only large hybrid entered and it loved showing the littlies what it’s all about!

We had a blast! There’s nothing quite like showing up with the smallest 4×4 (a 3 door Prado) towing the largest van and really showing everyone what off-roading should be like!

“There wasn’t a moment were I wished for a larger more powerful 4×4 and I never worried about the Topaz on the back.”

The Topaz was converted by the crew at CTA who used it as accommodation (it rained the whole time) and for daily hot showers.

Sadly the Series 2 didn’t win this category due to the large price discrepancy associated with being the largest and best equipped van, but this didn’t stop us from having fun!

The Series 2 is designed for true off-roading and long term use. So the internal space offered within Series 2 is highly valued by its owners. The internal design incorporates basic everyday functionality you wouldn’t notice during use, unless you didn’t have it. Firstly all the bench tops are a conventional working height and are not subject to any compromise (meaning you’re not bending down when preparing food). Cooking is easily sorted both inside and outside the van so you’re not constricted by the weather. The internal storage is vast and readily accessible in metal slide out drawers with safety catches to prevent them opening in transit.

The Topaz Series 2 also boasts and extensive options list enabling full customisation, from highlight colours to complete diesel heating and cooking solutions.
