Over the last 3 years, Thales Australia, designer and producer of the highly successful Bushmaster has developed the Hawkei Australian Light Protected Vehicle. The Hawkei is designed to be the next generation in Australian protected mobility vehicles. Meeting the needs of a defence force, who is constantly challenged by Improvised Explosive Devices, mines or small arms ambushes. This requires a highly mobile, light protected vehicle to meet today’s and tomorrow’s operational needs.

In conjunction with Thales, Track Trailer designed and prototyped the first of new breed of military trailers.
This unit stands proud on wheels and tyres over 1.1m in diameter and weighting 140kgs a piece. Fully CAD designed to Defence Australia standards using extensive computer stress analysis in conjunction with physical testing, Track Trailer adapted it’s highly successful MC2 chassis and suspension and unique design characteristics to produce a highly capable offroad trailer a perfect match for the unstoppable Hawkei.
This unit runs MC2 Suspension just like our Tvan, Topaz & Mate trailers!
Currently undergoing rigorous testing with both Thales and the Commonwealth of Australia, this trailer can be airlifted by helicopter, lashed down in the back of an air craft carrier or inside a Hercules and boasts 4 tonne ATM on Track’s own single axle MC2 Suspension.
